We’re delighted that we are now up to full capacity and running at full throttle in the salon. The opening week went like a dream and our phones haven’t stopped ringing for appointments from our regular clients as well as a high number of new visitors to the Jades salon.

It’s been great to soak up the atmosphere and enjoy the good wishes we’ve received from friends, family and clients.

We are fast approaching the wedding season and our new beauty rooms are looking fabulous and ready to treat our future brides to lots of luxury treatments to get them in tip top condition for their special day.

It’s always great to be busy so make sure you have booked your appointments in plenty of time.

Here our Bridal Stylist Louise gives you her tips on how to radiate beauty that makes you glow and shine on your big day.

1)  Style Consultations. Your hair stylist and beauty therapists are best placed to advise you on getting your hair and beauty regime going. Take advantage of the free consultations most salons offer to help you achieve your wedding day look whether it’s a change of make-up style or a new hair colour.

2) Be prepared. Book all of your appointments at least three months in advance to ensure you get the slots you need.  If you want to revamp your look don’t leave it too late. Most importantly make sure you have booked your appointments for the actual day itself, whether you are visiting a salon or you require a stylist and therapist to travel to you either at home or your chosen venue. Stylists get booked up quickly so make this a major priority, particularly during the summer months.

3) Diet is so important. Think about the impact your diet has on your hair and skin. Take a good multi-vitamin and ensure you exfoliate your skin several times a week. There are lots of excellent supplements currently available on the market including Imedeen and Boots Perfectil Drink plenty of water, at least 2 litres a day.

4)  Rest. Don’t forget there is a reason they call it Beauty Sleep – so get those early nights in as part of your beauty routine.

5)  To false tan or not to false tan? Think carefully about this one. Make sure you have tried and tested your favourite products before deciding on your favourite. Here at the salon we believe the popular Su-do Spray Tan gets fabulous results. There’s nothing worse than flaky dry skin that gives you an unnatural result so we can’t emphasise enough the importance of Moisturise, Moisturise, Moisturise! Plus consider your wedding dress and which bits of your body will be on show. It’s probably the most expensive clothing item you will ever purchase – the last thing you want to do is to ruin it.
